iPhones and other PDAs using activesync only synchronise with the personal contacts folder, so one thing we use it for is to synchronise the shared public contact folders with each uses personal contact folder.

This means that when our engineers sync their PDAs with the mailbox, they have access to all the shared contacts. I also use it to synchronise public email folders two subfolders under my own inbox. This means that when I have the supplier or client e-mails come in that need to be filed in the public folders, I can do it directly from my iPhone.
