HP server with Broadcom network adapter HyperV virtual machine extremely slow

We found in a recent hyper v server setup the SBS 2011 and Window 2012 network performance extremely slow. Opening files or transferring data to or from the virtual machine took a very long time.

This was due to a particular setting on the Broadcom network adapters which should be disabled.

To remedy this Disable Virtual Machine Queues on the Hyper V host computer.
